A unique spin on the unOrdinary soulmarks AU, with a good sprinkling of overpowered power couple for flavor of course.
Will heavily diverge from canon. Characters may be slightly “ooc” because of this, but mostly because I intend to take their growth down a different path.

The odds are 8 billion to one, after all. What are the chances, really, that you’d just so happen to bump into one singular person in a lifetime, amongst the masses of humanity? Amongst the other trials and tribulations of life… it simply cannot afford to be a priority. And so, the truest enemy of finding one’s bonded… is often themself. A lack of motivation- of time, of effort- or even of care. And so, the story goes on. People live their lives, they laugh their laughs and cry their cries- and thusly decide there’s simply no time for such a fool’s errand.
At least, until one fateful day- in a place where the strong dominate the weak, and where power is placed on the highest pedestal…
Fate reveals its greatest hand- setting off a chain of events that threatens to tear down every preconception held by the people of the world about just what ‘limits’ are really in place.

With the disappearance of the blue blur and the doctor’s subsequent brisk global takeover, the resistance forces are scattered, reeling, and struggling to hold their ground. Without the speed, charisma, leadership, inspiration of Sonic, hope is a resource in short supply, and many find themselves hoping for a miracle rather than pulling forth the drive within themselves to fight. No starry eyed rookie steps up to the task, and the heroes organization crumbles in on itself beneath the crushing boot of Robotnik’s tyranny.

Summary
Earth was falling, everyone knew that the moment the sun was eclipsed and nations began to fall one by one to Cyn’s murderous pets. Every tool and trick in humanity’s arsenal has failed to stem the tide, super weapons rendered null in the face of the Absolute Solver. Desperation led to the creation of long begotten war machines, a last ditch effort to stave off oblivion. Ethics discarded in favor of self preservation, these horrific machines were assembled by the thousands.
Amongst these man made horrors, these very affronts to God, there was one machine forged with a singular purpose, entrusted with the task of avenging humanity and ending the nightmare that was the Absolute Solver.
Thus, with humanity’s last dying breath, this Supreme Machine was unleashed upon the world.
We could only pray for God’s forgiveness in that same, feeble breath.
