They’ve been seeing each other seriously for about six months and Naruto has been traveling for two of those when Kakashi decides he’s done with all the sighing, and the forlorn staring into bowls of ramen, and the extra shifts at the mission desk. Naruto is going to be gone at least another two years so Iruka better buck up, or else! Kakashi didn’t really know what “or else” meant, but he did know that he couldn’t just leave things the way they were.
