There has always been talk of a ghost haunting the hospital.
Things that would go missing, blankets that would mysteriously disappear but that would turn up covert in blood splatter.
Sometimes when someone was crying in the
stairwell they would hear humming or breathing.
It wasn't until jack had a bad night shift that suddenly some of the mystery's started to make sense.

Summary
Dennis Whitaker was taught from a young age how to be small, how to take a hit, and how you never, never take something that doesn't belong to you. When an encounter with an unruly patient leads to permanent, devastating consequences, Jack and Robby step in with their unique knowledge to help Dennis transition to his new normal. However, no amount of experience can prepare any of them for the ways their lives will change as a result.
It's Robby, there's no doubt about that, but under the campfire-backwoods-damp-earth smell of him is something sharper, older, that hits Dennis like a lightning strike. He's back to hot Nebraska summers, rocketed down into that mindset of the scared young boy who knows to expect a sharp bite from something bigger than him, stronger than him.

There's no need to talk, a simple look is enough to let her know that yes, they did. Immediately the air becomes more tense. At first Yolanda simply lifts up her eyebrows, then she lets out a deep sigh.“Oh fuck, that's— I don't even know what to say. How did it go?”
For just a second Brendon hesitates. His own tongue feels heavy in his mouth at the prospect of telling her because he can already guess what Yolanda is going to say in the end.You're going too fast, what happened to being careful? Won't you regret it? Will you run away again?
But Yolanda is the only one he can ask help about the whole situation and he obviously can't do that unless he tells her everything.

“No, wait,” Trinity held up her hands. “Let’s start from the beginning. You somehow charmed your way into the network-wide holiday party, became friends with the CEO of the entire network which, might I add, owns some of the best hospitals on the East Coast, and you got yourself invited to his holiday vacation cabin.”
“That pretty much sums it up, yeah,” Dennis nodded as he turned away from the desk and headed towards south three and the patient in there waiting on some burn care.
“Right,” Trinity nodded, following him. “So you’re going to be sharing your location with me and texting me regular wellness checks.”
