Summary
After many years as Zorro, Diego is finally nearing retirement. A vacation to attend his maternal cousin's wedding in San José sounds like a pleasant break from LA and a good opportunity to hear more stories about his mother - and a good place where he can fully be himself without worrying about betraying his identity.
Diego is several days deep into the journey when he and his traveling companions are accosted by bandidos. With too many people to protect, Diego is forced to surrender. At first, things seem routine with the bandidos raiding the carriages - but then they decide to take the one woman in the party with them and make their vile intentions clear.
When the bandidos suggest that one of the men can take her place, expecting no volunteers, Diego takes them up on the offer, hoping that he will have a better chance of escaping than she does. To his dismay, the bandidos decide to take her as leverage to prevent Diego from backing out of the deal. With escape looking impossible, and little hope of rescue, Diego resolves to do what he must to survive.

Summary
John Van Horn is a man who is confident in his attractiveness, and he is unused to hearing no. He knows Dorothy wants him, she just needs someone to give her permission to come out of her shell. He may actually be in love with her, and her long game is driving him mad.
Jeff Slater is an aspiring playwright who shares his apartment with Michael Dorsey, aspiring actor. They get on, but sometimes Michael's total commitment to method acting causes more problems than it's worth. Now that Michael has taken on Dorothy's persona, it's almost like living with two roommates.
Michael Dorsey has been dressing as Dorothy Michaels to make ends meet. After a stressful day, he just wants to go home and drink. John Van Horn showing up at his doorstep puts a damper on the whole evening, and Michael just needs to figure out the fastest way to make his coworker get the message and go away without breaking character.
