Summary
Vigil’s Keep wasn’t home anymore, hadn’t been for years. And this wasn’t how Nathaniel had ever imagined returning. Nothing was how he had imagined it to be, but he was adjusting. He still half expected to turn a corner and meet his father, or run into Thomas. Relief when he didn’t. And then regret. There was strange familiarity to the halls, the rooms. Nathaniel knew it all so well, yet it did not seem quite real. Not yet. He wasn’t sure it ever would be or if he even wanted it to be. The Warden Commander had offered Nathaniel his own childhood bedroom and he had declined it. As Simen had refused the Arl’s master chambers. He had not offered those to Nathaniel. Not that he could really blame the other man. After all, Nathaniel had come there to kill him. The fact that he’d decided not to go through with it only made so much difference.
~~This work is from the same world-state as "A Question," which was part of this larger collection of random scenes originally titled "Awakening is Buggy as Shit."~~
Note: I still have not finished Dragon Age: Awakening :| So if some of the details aren't even correct, that is the reason.

Summary
They had returned to Ferelden to no heroes’ welcome. Anders had expected none for himself. He had never protested as one by one Hawke’s friends turned away from him – had understood when the mages had thanked for their assistance and then asked, firmly, for him to leave. They had not asked Hawke to leave but the other man had never questioned whether or not he would go. In his sleepless nights, even wrapped in Hawke’s arms, he wondered if the other man was still with him out of some sense of responsibility. Or fear, even, of what might become of Anders if he left. Selfishly, he did not ask.

Summary
“May I ask you a question?” Nathaniel Howe waits at the door to the armory, and Simen nods, setting his dagger and the whetstone aside.
“Anything. Well, almost anything. Don’t ask about your father.”
“I understand,” Nathaniel says. Simen almost believes he does, but he isn’t sure he can ever explain to this man how much hate he still has, for Rendon Howe. Nathaniel looks around the armory. “It’s just that I was wondering, do you recruit everyone to the Grey Wardens?”
“It certainly can seem that way, can’t it?” Simen smiles. “You’re still wondering why I recruited you? You might as well ask why I recruited anyone.”

Summary
All her life, she carried herself as a Queen.
Confident.
Kind and Gracious.
She went to church rarely:
To mourn.
To celebrate: a marriage. a birth.
She married a veterinarian with a nice smile - he told her she danced
like a queen; she laughed, and left her job in the city to assist in his country practice. -

Summary
The grape popsicle stained his lips a vivid purple, but then, purple had always been his color.
“How old are you?” Pietro smirked slightly - *he* would never be caught with lips stained by candy (of course, he had never developed much of a taste for frozen juice desserts, but that was beside the point.)
“Twenty-two,” Clint replied, matter-of-factly. “Why? How old are you, bossy-britches?”
“Bossy-britches?” Pietro frowned, putting his hands on his hips. “Is that even a thing or is that another one of your own personal slangs?”
“Slang, Pietro, it’s just called slang.” Clint smiled with those garish lips of his.
“Whatever you call it, you misuse it.”

Barton picked at a plate of cheese. “D’you think we could convince Stark to throw a barbecue next time?”
Pietro barely heard the other man. He checked his watch. No time had passed since he’d last checked it. He groaned and checked his watch again. “How much more of this do we have to take?”
“It’s been ten minutes, Pete” Barton replied.

“I bet,” Bobby Drake began, “that I can fill the mansion with snow before you can clear it out.”
“That is a particularly impish proposition, Mister Drake,” Hank McCoy replied. “And one I doubt our esteemed leader would approve of.”
Bobby frowned, putting his hands on his hips. He might have celebrated his eighteenth birthday months ago, but he’d gotten used to being the youngest member of the team and wasn’t about to lose those privileges. Whatever they might be. “Who said we had to tell him, Hank old buddy?”
“I believe it would be difficult for anyone to miss,” Hank said.

Summary
“Alright, let me get this straight? You want us to what?” Luke was trying to concentrate on the phone call, with Danny doing his damn Kung Fu dragon stances all over their small office or whatever the Hell they were, which made it more than a little difficult. Luke was fairly sure Danny had no idea how distracting he could be.
“Get these ghosts out of my apartment!” the man shouted over the other side of the phone. Luke held it away from his face. Christmas!
“I’m not deaf, (yet), Mister G –. But with all due respect, who do you think we are, the Ghostbusters?” (Crane stance. Horse Stance. Dragon Prance. Luke's-Gonna-Kick-in-The-Pants . . .)
“Are you trying to tell me that the Heroes for Hire *won’t* get rid of these ghosts? They keep me up all night, rattling around.”
“That’s exactly what I’m telling you, yes. Try Doctor Strange.” Luke hung up the phone and stood, resting his hands on the beat-up desk and leaning over the table. “Danny, you can’t do that somewhere else?”Series

Summary
“This is a joke, right? The Avengers didn’t seriously waste a perfectly good night setting a trap for a Doctor Doom cosplayer?” Clint frowned, gripping his bow in one hand, an arrow in the other, twirling idly between his fingers. While Steve wasn’t entirely sure what a ‘cosplayer’ was, he could make a guess.
Mostly 616-inspired, though takes place in the early 2000s.
