果然，事出反常必有妖，当他们躺进穿梭机，扫描身体的蓝光将他们灰飞烟灭……
再次醒来，丹尼尔身处威尼斯乳房桥下，变成卖淫妓女达尼利亚，而阿尔芒不知所踪。丹尼尔不确定这是真的穿越时空，还是全息游戏？姑且当一场游戏吧。节日庆典的乐音打断他的疑思，丹尼尔抬头遥望，看见许多年轻男女追着花轿，当帷幔迎风飘起时，坐在里头的绝色美男也被掀起了面纱。
是阿尔芒！
花轿上的少年比丹尼尔见过的任何模样都要年轻，不过十一二岁的样子。
“喂，阿尔芒，是我！”丹尼尔追着花轿、挥臂大喊……

我一直想写16世纪的芒丹故事，假如吸血鬼丹尼尔跟阿尔芒回到16世纪会发生什么？拥有重新选择的机会，阿尔芒会如愿以偿地像一个普通男孩活下去吗？继阿尔芒影响了丹尼尔的一生，这次丹尼尔拥有了决定阿尔芒人生的权力，他跟马瑞斯争夺阿尔芒，给阿尔芒怀孕生子，面临跟阿尔芒携手度过凡人一生（这意味着放弃回到现代和吸血鬼永生），还是让阿尔芒按既定的命运变成吸血鬼的抉择。

He stops struggling, goes rabbit-limp in the jaws of death. If he dies tonight, he’ll die putting up a fight; if he doesn’t put up a fight, he won’t die, at least not yet.
Clever boy, something croons in his ear.
And there’s a rising indignation there, swelling alongside a dizzy euphoria, but then Daniel’s world flips once again, and he is slammed down belly-first into concrete.

“Hit me doc, how bad is it?” Whatever it is they can get through this, they have each other. His hand, without realizing it, lifts up and Armand grasps it in his own in a split second, squeezing with a might that is bordering on bone breaking.
“It would appear Mr Molloy, that congratulations are in order,” Dr Bhansali smiled for the first time that evening, like he wasn’t about to shatter their worldview. “You’re pregnant.”
