The bedside lamp is off, but he didn’t bother turning off the university's twenty-four hour radio. It has been playing for hours, a low murmur from his laptop. Ambient music, local news updates, some rambling from a student show.
It wasn’t until five minutes ago that the cat-obsessed late-night speaker came on.
Shouto likes this guy. Listens to the station every night, hums the little intro jingle absentmindedly while brushing his teeth. Katsuki had made fun of it, at first. Called it boring, dorky. But he’s been listening more lately.
Katsuki and Shouto really, really like late night radio.

Until three weeks ago, Shouto had no idea what thirst tweets were. Sure, whenever he personally checked his twitter profile he would notice a few people in the mentions saying things like your hands asdfghgfdfhgf or choke me pls, or, once, memorably, referring to him as submissive and breedable.
(Kaminari had looked at that one, nodded sagely, and said sounds about right. Katsuki had had to be physically restrained so he wouldn’t maim him.)
Or: Pro hero Shouto manages to make reading thirst tweets all about how much he loves his boyfriend. Very few people who know anything about him are surprised.

Katsuki’s throat feels dry. “Do what?”
“Look at me,” Todoroki says, “and kind of—space out?”
Ah. So he does notice.
“Oh,” Katsuki says. “It’s, uh—it’s because—”
“Do I bore you?” Todoroki asks, tone completely, utterly serious.
This fucking idiot, Katsuki thinks, both immensely relieved and horrifically fond.
Or: This whole regularly cuddling thing doesn't make being hopelessly in love with Todoroki any easier. At all.
