Charlemagne has a brother… or does he?
Charles will pursue his great brother’s dream to the world’s end. But at that end, what if he turns out to be Charlotte?This is a work in progress. I'm dipping into the VIIIth century realm of Charlemagne to dream about, what it would be like for a brother of the great emperor to fall into the hands of the barbarian Saxons. Charlie (or Charlotte) won't succeed in stifling the rebellion, but maybe he will find his own heart and conscience in the end. Maybe he will stop converting people with sword, or maybe he won't need to convert anymore at all.
As always, there will be BDSM undertones, and a lot of sexual tension. Charlie is female, but dressed as a man so that she can fight the war and be somebody in a male dominated world.

Summary
This is a freeform play with and about the past (my past; my country's past). It starts with a quote from a poem by Czesław Białowąs, a traitor and a poet. As it probably has not been translated to English, I tried to loosely convey the meaning of this quote in a sort of quasi-translation. It is as literal as it gets.
Facts in this story do not align with history.
In other words: I try my hand and mingling historical themes and BDSM. Set at the time of finishing battles of WWII, in parts of Poland that were to be taken by the Soviets. Aaron Cole is infinitely bored with things as they are, so she spices things up by becoming a traitor to a Polish patriotic organisation and gets her packback. But maybe her payback will be bittersweet indeed.

This is a twisted, horrid love story between two Polish activists - Aaron Cole and Alexander d'Crecy, set against a backdrop of a picturesque Ukrainian countryside and war atrocities that take place there in the 1940's.
I intentionally stray from historical truth, at the same time that Aaron strays from morality and Alexander desperately tries to catch up with her.
When you want something that badly, things get blurry sometimes.

Please remember I'd started writing the story way before the current war in Ukraine started. It'd formed in my mind years back. It has nothing to do with the situation as it is now. Poland and Ukraine have their common scarred and horrific history, and some wounds still have not healed. But this is not the matter of this story.

Summary
After five years in prison for the many crimes she committed, Aaron Cole is back on the out and finds her way back to serving the country and the government. Addicted to the thrills of power, she is trying to regain as much control as she is able to. However, it isn't possible anymore for her without the protection of all and mighty Alexander d'Crecy and the guy always wants something in return. In the meantime, she falls for a naive but loving sister of a human trafficker, Jennifer. The politics isn't the way she knew it before prison, for a movement emerges that advocates for ethical treatment of people outside of the ruling caste. As she struggles to adjust and collect as many votes as possible, it turns out she does have a soul after all. Or does she?
This is a strictly political fiction story in an alternative universe where Algeria is governed by a small group of privileged people and it is only very slowly beginning to change. This is a story of how people adapt to a new political reality, how the society deals with and resolves their tensions and inequality issues.
