Summary
"I am speaking about the consequences of our pinnacles." Francesca presses a hand to her own stomach, then very lovingly rests her hand on Michaela’s stomach. "The evidence of our having made love that we shall both soon bear."
Michaela stares at Francesca, stunned.
Francesca, much to Michaela’s confusion, is convinced that pinnacles are the cause of babies.

Summary
Micheala's hand let go of hers fast and returned it to its sister in her burgundy lap. Francesca bit her lip and trapped her skirt in hers, 'to fidget' Eloise would've said but she wasn't there to report it.
"So what? You hear my sob story and suddenly it doesn't matter what you did? What you said?"
"It does matter. You're right."
"You called me a coward."
The bitterness in her voice struck right in between Francesca's ribs. She let it burn.
She deserved it.
"You —the perfect you, who has yet to stop her mother from shoving her at men that she does not and would never want— called me a coward."
"I also asked you to marry me."
***
Or, the one where Francesca fumbles like a proper Bridgerton and begs for an opportunity to right her wrongs. And maybe -just maybe- Micheala lends an ear to one quite intriguing request.
Pathetic Francesca Bridgerton and Lover Girl Micheala Stirling come to the front!
