Lenny rubbed at his temples as he glanced at the kid currently trying to disappear into the seat beside Mickey. “Ian’s going to kill both of you,” he sighed but Mickey just smirked because they both knew that Gallagher wasn’t going to do shit to him…he might ground Yev until he was thirty though.
Yev’s eyes darted from Mickey to Lenny, “Can’t we call and tell him it’s a mix up or something?”
Mickey scoffed. “Fuck that shit, kid, he’s probably already on his way.”
Yev sunk further into his chair at that and Mickey snorted at his son’s sulking.
The kid had the balls to bust out a window, and mouth-off to a cop but mention Ian and he showed belly faster than a stray dog.

Summary
As horrible as things are for Mickey in Statesville Correctional, he takes comfort in the hopes that Ian is somewhere out in the world getting the help he needs, free to live his life without a criminal boyfriend holding him back. Even if he feels lost and abandoned, he truly believes that Ian still deserves good things.

Summary
After Svetlana paid him , Ian went home and began to put his life together. But he went back for Mickey, his plan in place to wait. Then Mickey took him off the visitors list.
Ian did not shatter as expected, but Mickey did a bit. Mickey decided he was fucked for life was going to let Ian go .Until the first letter came. Not sad. Not begging . Just laid it out that Ian, not Mickey gets to decide who he waits for. If he cannot see him he will see his waiting on paper.
Ian knows it won’t be easy. He begins the campaign for Mickey to see him again . Know each other so when Mickey gets out, they give it an honest try.
They are both still kids when Mickey goes in. We watch them becoming men and navigating two very different lives, the constant is what never dies between them.
How do they build them and a family with Mickey scared of being loved this unconditionally and incarcerated.
We look at how both their lives play out with a separation they have no control of. It’s hard, scary and painful at times. But yet both their hearts are still seeking and loving the men who started together as boys.
