Summary
The water in his dreams was green, churning violently as it slammed against steep white cliffs. Arctic water killed swiftly and quietly, paralyzing a body with cold shock and then sucking it quickly into the bottomless depths. This water had a different brutality, a thrashing ferocity that sought to break, to crush, to unleash its fury upon soft flesh and brittle bone.

She snorted, looking up at him through the shock-white hair that had fallen loose from her bun during her sulk. “Does one?”
“Oh,” he deadpanned, shaking his head, “most assuredly.”
With Baldur's Gate rebuilt and her friends scattered to the winds, Tav decides to settle down as a tavern keeper and relax into a quiet retirement of serving drinks and spinning stories. Unfortunately, every single one of her new neighbors seems to think she's untrustworthy at best and terrifying at worst.
Every one, that is, except Rolan.
