So essentially this fic is me rewriting the fight scene between Silver and Infinite. Their in-game fight lasts literally UNDER TWENTY SECONDS. LIKE COME ON. The whole point of this is still technically canon compliant, but Infinite actually needs to lock in to beat Silver.

“Arsène?” Goro sounded out, uncertain of the pronunciation with the accent mark. French perhaps? “Is that your original Persona?”
Akira nodded, a soft little smile curling his lip. “Yeah, that’s him.”
Goro read the name over again, furrowing his brow. Every Persona and shadow he’d ever encountered could be connected to a character of myth, legend, literature, art or history – borne from the collective minds of all the humans who have thought of the character in the past. It was how he’d ended up with Loki, the Norse god of mischief and lies, infamous for stealing from the other gods, and Robin Hood, a noble thief of English legend – the two warring sides of his splintered, damaged heart. But he didn’t recognize the name Arsène. It was definitely European in origin, but that was as far as Goro could decipher without pulling his phone out to Google it (and he wouldn’t give Akira that satisfaction.)
He wondered what the true self of Akira Kurusu could possibly resemble…
As though reading his thoughts, Akira leaned forward, those clever gray eyes sparkling in the light. “You want to meet him?”

"Checkmate."
Those were the last words the Phantom Thieves heard their leader say. It happened like a match striking. One minute, Ren Amamiya was grinning like the sun. The next... he slumped over onto Ryuji, the fight leaving him in record time. No one had time to react before it happened. No one had time to process what had happened before they were each waking up in their respective bedrooms at the beginning of the year.
So what is a group of time traveling teenagers to do when they learn they've been given a do-over? The only natural thing, after all.
Make sure that time doesn't fall apart while also treating their leader with all the love and affection they showered him with over the course of the last year of their life, of course!
Ren Amamiya is very confused. Who are these people, and why are they so... nice?
