“You gotta rest, you know?” Vi said with the stupid soft voice again, and her frown couldn’t fight the sight of those blue eyes, glistening and looking so vulnerable now. She put a hand on Caitlyn’s forehead. “Fuck, you’re hot.”
“I know, you keep telling me,” Caitlyn attempted to smirk, but her muscles failed her.
“Funny, Cupcake,” Vi deadpanned. “You’re going to bed, now.”

Vi comes to the Kirammans' mansion at night only to find Caitlyn sick. And because in Zaun, the best cure for a cold is nothing but homemade soup, she doesn't hesitate and goes to make her some. However, to her surprise, she's not the only one awake in the house.

Summary
Caitlyn extracts her hand from Vi’s hair to caress her face, waiting for Vi’s eyes to connect with hers. She moves closer, lips parted, and there’s a moment of warm, shared breaths before they’re kissing. Gently, fully, less frantic than their collision in that prison cell but hungrier than the chaste, careful exchanges they have shared up to now. Vi loosens her fingers from Caitlyn’s so she can use both hands to cup Caitlyn’s face, pressing lingering, damp kisses to her mouth. Caitlyn feels it like warm water from her scalp to her toes, making her aware of Vi’s saliva on her bottom lip and the oil on the surface of her skin.
“You deserve to be happy, Violet.” Caitlyn whispers into the heated air between them as they part. Vi responds by pressing her mouth to the underside of Caitlyn’s jaw.

“Everyone in my life changed,” Vi says, her voice hardly above a whisper. “Promise me you won’t change.”
At first, Caitlyn doesn’t say anything. She looks at Vi, her blue eyes like a portal into her soul, brighter than all the lights in Zaun and the hair of someone she once called her sister.
Not anymore she is… Vi looks down at Caitlyn’s lips whilst she lifts up her chin and rubs her cheeks with her thumbs, pulling her closer.
Vi knows what this means. Knows what she’s been craving since the moment she saw Caitlyn. She tried to convince herself that she doesn’t deserve this, isn’t worthy after what she did to her.
But to hell with Vi’s sister. To hell with the devil who dares to share her blood.
In the brief moment before her and Caitlyn’s lips collide, Vi forgets all of that.
