Steve lets his head slip out of his hands and land face down on the counter. Voice muffled, he says, “...My mojo is missing, Eddie.”
“C’mon,” Eddie prompts again. “Tell me more.”

In a society where Omegas are the dominant secondary gender, it's not uncommon for Alphas to compete for their attention, showering them with gifts and trying to prove their worth.
For Eddie Munson, presenting as an Omega has been nothing but a pain in the ass. All the Alphas who used to push him around and call him a freak are now falling all over themselves trying to court him. As if he could forget the years of bullying they put him through.
Is there a single Alpha in all of Hawkins who can crack through his icy exterior and thaw his cold, dead heart? He sure has hell doesn't think so.

It’s been a year since the shitstorm with Vecna, and Eddie Munson’s made it big with his band This Machine Slays Dragons. He hasn’t really stayed in touch with anyone, because why would he? He bounced as soon as he could, without a diploma, tail between his legs. Turns out the real world had a few treats in store for him, after all.
Steve Harrington isn't really stuck in Hawkins. He’s got the kids to look after, the portal to check on, and Robin to keep him company. Things are damn near ordinary, these days, and Steve's grateful for it.
And then Eddie Munson shows up.

“Um,” starts Steve, tapping his foot. “This is gonna sound, like, really dumb, but I heard this song on the radio? It’s— if I sing it to you, do you think you would, I don’t know, recognise it?”
