The circumstances of Edmund’s death are an amalgamation of the show, books, and my own ideas that fit with this AU. While I obviously recommended reading the earlier stories in this series, and there might be gaps if you haven’t, I think you might still enjoy it if you haven’t. Some of the responses to Edmund’s death feel universal regardless of time or place. If you haven’t read ObCon, most of what you need to know is that they’re the Royal family and Violet is Queen.
