She was only supposed to be gone for 3 months, but the longer she was gone, the harder it was to return to a life that she felt she never really belonged in, in the first place. So she retired her trusty piko piko hammer and made the difficult decision to leave her life in the past, including everyone in it, especially the blue hedgehog that had held her heart in an iron grip and to start over. It wasn't easy at first, she had to get rid of most of her valuables, ditch her electronics and use an alias name when travelling abroad so that she couldn't be tracked. Eventually the months had turned into years and she had settled into a nice and comfortable life with new friends, but there was one person she never lost contact with all these years. A trusted friend turned into a potential lover. What she didn't count on was that Sonic had never given up on looking for her.

“I’ll forget all about these feelings I have for her.” Shadow added, his voice trembling with a mix of shame and sincerity. “I’ll leave her alone, I swear. Just… just let me have this one night."

Summary
Amy Rose lives in an impoverished mining town outside of a major city. Times are hard as famine plagues the land, and with a child on the way, Amy feels forced to do the unthinkable.
A nobleman and vampire, Shadow saves her from herself on the stipulation that she becomes a blood servant to him. Shadow is a picky eater and prefers his blood happy and healthy.
Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are in town on a mission, requested to them by Vanilla, concerning the whereabouts of her long missing daughter Cream. As vampire hunters they travel town to town eradicating the blood drinkers that have taken root.
While these three make an amazing team, Sonic has a secret that may put the three in jeopardy when Silver joins the hunt.
