Summary
The sun glistened down over the water, waves crashing gently at the cove with a quiet roar. A pair of people were sitting on the sand, hidden away in the cove from the rest of the beach. Alone, and therefore safe.
Tango was curled in Jimmy's lap, his long fish tail draped over Jimmy's legs and his head resting against Jimmy's shoulder. Jimmy was dragging his fingers through Tango's hair and occasionally Tango would pull back slightly to press soft kisses along Jimmy's collarbones.
"This is nice," Jimmy murmured after a long silence.
"Mhmmm," Tango hummed in agreement, "Yeah. This is nice."

Summary
Tango Tek is a blacksmith. He makes weapons. Armor. He lives a simple life near the coast in a forge well outside the nearest town with his two best friends, Impulse and Skizz, who do the same sort of work he does.
Tango's entire life is turned on its head the morning after a violent storm. When a simple errand into town is derailed by a person unconscious on the beach.

Summary
His heart faltered when he saw a tuft of ginger hair.
Tango, his Tango was curled up against the stone wall, legs tucked up and arms folded in on himself. His red jumper was particularly prevalent. It had been- goodness, it had been so long since Zedaph had seen his friend in red.
Red meant Tango was wearing his usual skin. Not the stupid dungeon master cloak which he’d grown to despise over time. (Not only did he hate how it hid Tango away, but he loathed the magic woven into it). It had infested Tango, turning his glowing, fiery, eyes and hair blue.
Blue was cold and detached, an oyster in an ecosystem. Red was beautiful, bright and energetic.
Red was Tango.

Double life ends, and Tango is a mess. Zedaph is not best pleased

“Zedaph, please.”
The man seemed to battle with himself for a moment.
“Zedaph.” He said the name as if he hadn’t quite grown used to the feeling of it.
“-Do you know how many times someone has asked to interview me?”
“I- haven’t a clue.”
There was silence.
“Yeah, no, neither do I.” The redhead admitted. “-But my point is, it’s a lot. There’s nothing more annoying than trying not to die whilst twenty journalists are shouting at you from the sidelines.”
“…No offence.” He added, as if it were an afterthought.
Zedaph chuckled, still not entirely convinced he wasn’t dreaming.
“None taken.”
OR: Zed's a failing journalist and Tango's the most infamous vigilante in the city who wants to give his roommate's career a boost.
This decision has it's pros and cons.
