Summary
Vox accidentally fakes his death and escapes to the ocean, inadvertently forcing himself to become a better person. Stripped of the screen that weighed him down and protected him, he has to carve a new identity for himself.
Meanwhile, the Vees and Alastor have new challenges as they try to pick up the pieces he left behind. Stewing in grief and regret causes conflicts to brew, especially for a particularly emotionally constipated deer.
Alastor's excitement doesn't last as long as it should have and the satisfaction of winning feels awfully hollow when there's
no one to gloat to. Now that Vox isn't around, unwelcome memories force their way back in, making him wonder where the line between Vincent and Vox blurs, and if the TV was as fake as Alastor had convinced himself. From his misadventures across the waves, Vince starts to wonder what he could've done differently, and what it was about that stupid deer that drove him so crazy.
But as painful as the past may be, it's time to move on. Besides, it's not like they'll ever see eachother again... Right?
Can a skin tight crop top be practical uniform for someone who works underwater? (Surprisingly so)

Summary
“He was quieter.”
Mr Red, who'd been measuring the washing detergent, froze. That didn't sound like Mr Duck at all.
“He’s probably just sulking because he fell.”
‘You mean when he dropped him?’ A nasty voice in his head whispered. Mr Red pushed it down. His knee was bouncing again. He got to his feet and put the wash on.

Summary
“Hey Al?”
“Yes?”
“Why….why did we stop being friends?”
That made the jazz music dim and Vox couldn’t find it in himself to look at Alastor, instead looking to the ice cubes in his glass as if they held the answers. Maybe the alcohol loosened his tongue, or maybe he was feeling like they were bridging the gap that had formed long before Alastor disappeared for seven years. The two of them had once been close, practically partners in everything. Alastor even did voice over commercials for Vox and vise-versa.
“You changed and I couldn’t accept it. We grew apart and into something else.”
“I don’t like it.”
“Since when?”
"Since forever."Wounded during the extermination, Alastor turned to Vox for help. Now he's having to trust the other Vee's and having a drink with his old friend.
