Summary
Her ruts were hardly pleasant, either, but they could be tolerated. Not much was needed beyond a locked door and an experienced hand to keep her at bay for the cycle.
She was never this eager or irritable or ravenous, stalking the hotel for a mate she knew good and well wasn’t present. Alastor isn’t sure why her body chose Vox as her only suitable partner, nor did she want to analyze that any further. What she did do was make up her mind, put on her nicest chemise, and make her way to the Entertainment District.
“Oh, like when I raised my E levels and started getting super emotional for no reason,” Vox says.
“Yes, sweetheart. This is exactly like that,” Alastor replies flatly.

“You can’t be a woman,” Vox says, rolling the paper up. “I’m a woman.”

It’s routine at this point. Pharmacist offices in the most ethical clinics Hell can provide. Forcing whatever he’s prescribed down until Val and Velvette stop watching him like they’re scared he’ll choke. Getting rid of the rest and moving on with his afterlife without feeling numb and null and hollow because he doesn’t fucking need them.
Vox isn’t crazy.
“As if there’s any shame in it?” Alastor scolds.
