Prince Sonic has been leading the Freedom Fight against Black Doom's empire for years. When his mother, Queen Aleena, orders Sonic to go to the coming-of-age ceremony of Prince Shadow with the hopes of an engagement, Sonic is horrified. He's more horrified to learn that the Queen wants him to assassinate the other prince. Sonic is determined to find another way to protect his people, but with the looming threat of a mysterious power source Doom is rumored to be in possession of and General Infinite entering the scene, Sonic may not have a choice.
Prince Shadow plans to overthrow his father, Emperor Black Doom, who has been neglecting their people for far too long. Prince Sonic is an unpredictable variable, but one that may help Shadow achieve his goals, in the end.
