Summary
After dying in a car accident and being reincarnated in Remnant by the God of Life, Daniella "Danny" Beste is tasked with saving all life on Remnant from being wiped out. Despite still hurting from the loss of her family, Danny accepts the quest, hoping to become the hero she always dreamed of being. Volume 0 follows the beginning of her journey, as well as the journeys of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long as they grow from children to teenagers. This may only be the prelude, but it is no less important. Witness the origins of Team RWBBY before they truly came together and became the heroes of Remnant.
This is the beginning of a RWBY Rewrite AU I'm making. The "0" in the title may give the impression that this is a prequel, but it’s actually the beginning of the story and must be read first. Note that this story takes a lot of inspiration from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series in terms of tone (Plus, Danny is heavily inspired by Ichiban Kasuga from that series), but you don’t have to have played it to understand this. Please do not be afraid to provide criticism; in fact, I encourage it. I hope you enjoy!
