Summary
Teenage Trinity comes out to her dads.
“Would you guys care if I was gay?”
“Not at all, baby. I’ll love ya no matter what.” He glances over at her.
“‘Cause I do– kind of like girls.” She admits.
Or, Trinity gets teased by some girls on her gymnastics team for being gay and this prompts her to come out to Jack, and a few weeks later, Robby.

For all of Trinity’s life, Jack’s been the parent that’s done her hair. Braids, primarily.
He doesn’t cry often, but every once in a while Robby catches him sitting in bed looking through keepsakes and getting teary-eyed.
One of those kindergarten worksheets about your parents with fill in the blanks, where Trinity wrote, “I love my Daddy because he braids my hair really pretty.”

Summary
Trinity is Jack and Robby's sixteen year old daughter, and she gets arrested at a party.
As she calms down a bit, she pulls away slightly to look up at him. “Are you angry?” She asks.
“Yeah.” He says out of pure honesty. “When Abba told me, I was really scared. I didn’t know if you were hurt. I see so many bad things happen to people everyday. I see teenagers die.”
“For a second, I was scared I lost my everything.”
Or, Trinity goes to jail for a few hours and it is the catalyst to her having tough conversations with both her dads, but more so Jack!

Summary
The trauma counselor recommends that some of the emergency professionals in the Pitt attend a nature retreat to combat burnout and strengthen connections with coworkers. Robby and Trinity spend the entire retreat evading the exercises and activities only to still find the healing connection the retreat was intended to foster.
“Oh my god. What the fuck are those?” Trinity gasps while looking down at his feet. Robby looks down at the large, chunky, brown shoes on his feet.
“My hiking shoes! What’s wrong with them?” He demands.
“They look like fat bricks, Rob.” She laughs.
“Don’t call me that. Address me with some goddamn respect.” He snickers.
