Fatin couldn't explain why she felt a distinct pull towards Leah Rilke.
It could have been that multiple times she helped her out of a rough situation without knowing her. It could have been that she was attractive in an edgy, indie girl, 'Halsey' kind of way.
Regardless, it led to Fatin dropping off anonymous books that she annotated each week. And if Leah never found out? Well, she truly preferred it that way.
OR, The one where Fatin begins anonymously dropping off annotated books to Leah, just to make her smile.

Summary
After fifty days on that godforsaken island, they get rescued. They get taken to a bunker. No one tells them anything. Fatin is still reeling from finding out that Leah was right, and she's trying desperately to put enough pieces together to make it up to her. And just as soon as Fatin thinks she's making progress, she opens the door to the rooftop and discovers that she and her friends are back in hell again. Only now they've got more people…and more information. Just like the saying goes: out of the frying pan, into another, larger frying pan, apparently.
Thing is, Fatin could really do without being back at square one on an abandoned island as part of some madwoman’s deranged social experiment. She’s finding it…challenging. Maybe more so than the first time around.
And on top of that, of course, she has to try to figure out what she’s supposed to do with all these feelings for Leah. No easy task, considering they only seem to be getting stronger by the day.

Summary

Yasmin Khan is out for lunch with the Doctor when she sees a blonde woman sitting on the sidewalk, crying.
The Doctor, Yaz, and Rose travel back to Sheffield to see Yaz's family, but they have to leave the TARDIS so it can reset, and when they come back, it's gone. The police have confiscated it, and they want to see proof of ownership before they give it back. And the Doctor left her psychic paper on board. And they've landed in March of 2020, just before everything shuts down.
Stranded in Sheffield, they have no choice but to get a flat and quarantine together. Which, when you have three emotionally volatile people who care for each other more than they're willing to admit, can be complicated.
