Y Sesshomaru, que ha vivido muchos años, reconoce el patrón antes que nadie. Como si hubiera aprendido hace mucho tiempo que algunas pérdidas ocurren lentamente.
Mientras recuerdos emergen y el mundo comienza a sentirse equivocado, Kagome descubre que el tiempo alrededor suyo nunca estuvo roto por accidente y que algunas personas llevan mucho tiempo esperando el momento en que alguien sobreviva lo suficiente para cambiar el final.
