He had to be okay. They would have said something if they’d grabbed Tim too, right? And anyways, it was probably for the best that Tim had seen him. Then he could alert the rest of the archives staff and someone might be able to come get him out of this mess. Who knows how long he’d have been stuck here if no one knew where he went.
Tim sees Jon get kidnapped and decides to go after him. Unfortunately, he neglects to tell anyone where he's going.

“Hello Archivist.” Peter said, smiling at Jon’s baffled expression.
“Jesus Christ—“ Jon tried to clamber back to escape their proximity, but the wall behind him didn’t budge. Stone walls tended to be stubborn like that.
“I’m afraid not. The name is Peter Lukas, actually.” His smile unnerved Jon. Something about it was dangerous.

“They’d think I’m one lucky bloke. And I bet it’s on someone’s Timothy Stoker bingo card this year.” Tim laughed, but when he realized Jon wasn’t laughing too, he immediately sat up from his relaxed slouch. Fuck, he definitely said something he shouldn’t have, hadn’t he?
Jon was staring at his beer, a deep flush forming across his cheeks. “There’s a bingo card?”

Jonah’s ritual in MAG 160 failed. He pays Jon a visit at the Scottish safehouse, late one night, to express his frustrations on the topic. Jon has a very bad time.

Summary
Martin can also hear...other things. Things he’s only ever read about, before. Things like type A subvocalizations. The first time he heard Sasha growl at Tim for using her fancy-brand coffee creamer it was all Martin could do to stop himself from diving under his desk. Or bending over the desk and begging one of them to fuck him. It’s like an entirely new world has opened up to him. A weird, horny new world he wishes he could leave.
Sometimes, though. Sometimes it’s a bit interesting. Like the time Jon says "Have you made any more progress on the Hither-Green case?" but the sub-audible hum in his chest says worried, I am worrying, hello, are you okay, are you safe, and without even thinking about it, Martin responds, “Um, I’m fine, thanks.”
And then Jon gives him such a look of alarm, like Martin has suddenly developed mind-reading powers, or something. Well, it serves him right for badgering Martin until he suffered a spontaneous goddamn sex change, alright, Jon can deal.
