“Good evening, Your Grace.” Neuvilette grabbed his hand, “I would gladly accept your kind offer, since you decided to make some time for my abrupt visit. I’m worried about my dear Sigewinne, and at the same time I was curios about the state of the inmates, so I beg for your comprehension of my discourteous behavior towards you.” His face was emotionless as usual, but his eyes were telling something totally different.
The icy blue eyes were glowing, tears falling on his face in silence. Wriothesley never thought that one day, someone will be loving him for who he was, and not for his title or for his job. The man on his lap knew how horrendous his life was, he was the one that sentenced him when he was young, after killing his adoptive parents and pleading guilty. He saw him rise from the darkness and climbing the ladder to his position, but treated him with the same respect he had the first time they met.

Summary
He took the trials files, trying to focus on his work instead of his unrewarding sleep nights, and after what he feels like an eternity, he decides to take a break.
He opens a drawer on his left, reaching for his hand mirror. Sedene was really worried about him, so he wanted to check what she saw that made her feeling that way. The man in his reflection was pale, bluish under his eyes, cheekbones more prominent, his violet gaze distant. He didn’t see himself, but a ghost from his sleepless nights. He threw the mirror on the wall, frustrated, before bringing an arm onto his eyes. He still had some times left before his meeting with His Grace.
His Grace. Again that strange feeling in his chest.
He removed slightly his arm and began staring at the shattered crystalline pieces, they shined bright as they were small little drops of morning dew. He shifted his gaze on the ceiling, were the reflection of the broken mirror resembled that of the stars beaming over the sea. He stayed like this for an eternity, before the stiff embrace of the chair started to become something more warm and soft.

Wriothesley's guts constricted, stomach bottoming out in a heated clench that punched his diaphragm down and turned his inhale into a pained gasp. Warmth flooded unbidden across the surface of his skin, ruddying his cheeks with blood.
Dear fucking gods. What was that scent?
It registered like a spice to his nose— rich, pungent, and potent enough to edge a sneeze. But unlike any spice he'd ever encountered, this scent carried its own connotation that his instincts recognized immediately.
This room smelled like power. It hung suspended in the air like a dense haze of fog. Pure and unadulterated. True and undeniable.
It made him want to kneel.
It made him want to crawl.
Wriothesley has spent so many years on suppressants that he's forgotten what it means to be an omega. That is, until he meets the one alpha whose scent is impossible to ignore.
