Summary
"She’s not my type," Agatha said firmly, crossing her arms.
Lilia raised an eyebrow, swirling her wine like a soap opera villain. "So you have a type? Do enlighten us."
Agatha groaned. "Fine. If you must know, I’m straight. And even if I wasn’t, Rio is at least ten years younger than me. I would never go there."
Cue Rio Vidal—Agatha’s insufferably smug, boundaryless neighbour—who has zero respect for personal space, steals her ice cream, wears her clothes, and now, apparently, needs a fake girlfriend for a work event.
Agatha should say no. She wants to say no. But somehow, she doesn’t.
Now she’s fake dating the most irritating woman alive, their friends are watching like it’s a spectator sport, and the walls between their apartments are very thin.
It’s fine. It’s fake. It’s strictly platonic.
…So why is Agatha’s stomach flipping every time Rio looks at her like that?
Or: Agatha insists she's straight, Rio insists on being a menace, and everyone else insists that there's a "vibe".

Summary
Agatha Harkness is getting married in four months.
Everyone thinks it’s obviously the right choice. Ralph is kind, steady, and reassuring. He has a big house, a good job, and Agatha’s mother’s immediate approval. After a childhood spent desperately searching for a place where she could feel safe, she should be happy.
So why does the idea of leaving her small apartment make her feel like she’s losing something essential? Why does her heart beat faster when Rio touches her than when she kisses her fiancé?
Rio Vidal has known Agatha since they were teenagers. She knows her silences, her outbursts, her fears, her absurd habits, and the way she always sneaks a few sips from her glass. She knows the weight of her past, the wounds left by her mother, and the way Agatha only falls asleep when she’s curled up against her.
And as Agatha prepares to say “I do” to someone else, they continue to choose each other every night without ever saying it out loud.
OR
The roommates AU friends to lovers, where they are both in love and Agatha is gradually cheating on her fiancé with Rio, and Rio is madly in love and can’t help but surrender to Agatha's desire.

Summary
"What did you think of the scene?"
"The uh—" Rio coughs, "The intimate scene?"
"The in—" Agatha's sigh cuts her off and her laugh enters Rio's space, "Can you not even say the word sex, Rio?"
"I can—" Rio's ears feel hot, and she snatches the beer back, eyes finding the doorway, but there's no one there but them, "I can say sex."
"Oh, can you?" Agatha presses in close until they're almost touching. Rio's not—she's not great with touch; she doesn't receive it much in any capacity. "Because to me, it sounded like you're nervous in the way someone who's never been touched is." Agatha's lips curl into a grin like she's already excited for her next words, and she gasps, over exaggerated, "Are you a virgin, Rio?"

Rio finds out the new neighborhood book club can never be just book club if they've been nursing a very mild crush on their next door neighbor of seven years.
