Hal had told him that to become a Green Lantern, you had to be intrepid. However, she had never told him that you also had to be an idiot without any spirit of self-preservation.
"Oh, little bat... I think Superman is already filling Batman..."
(Guy Gardner is an expert at piss off people. Too bad he chose the wrong target, and that Dick is never very kind to people who insult his father.)

That damn gentle tone. That fucking kindness.
Jason wanted to shake him by the shoulders and tell him to stop. Stop being so kind. I don't deserve it. None of us deserves it.
Jason looked at the other man, the one who had tried to kill so many times and had forgiven him, the one who always forgave everyone and shouldn't have done it, "I really don't fucking understand. Why are we still here?"
(In which Jason is cursed by a magic user to listen everyone's thoughts, and Bruce's are a mess. A steaming mess that Jason doesn't want to ignore.)

Dick didn't hear the rest of the sentence. A long white noise had replaced Victor's words, his legs feeling like curd.
Bruce was getting married. And Dick didn't know anything.
