    Summary

The contact is brief, but it is enough.

And with that, a wave of pheromones floods his nostrils, thick enough to drown in. Nauseating, suffocating. Enough to make his legs go weak, his head spin, a burning ache twisting low in his stomach.

    No.

    No.

Of all the alphas in this rotting hell, he had to meet the only one whose scent has never repulsed him.

    ...

The only person Alastor ever thought he could allow himself to be intimate with, until Vox decided to ruin everything with a damn business proposal.

Or: A truck full of love potions crashes and its content spills out. Chaos ensues. Alastor and Vox find themselves on top of a communications tower. There is a small room in that tower. Vox gives, Alastor takes. They communicate.

At the next lingering glance, Alastor leans back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other. The action clearly makes Vox regret looking, and he snaps his gaze back to Valentino so quickly he may have pulled a muscle. Time to strike.

    “Is it working?”

The way Vox tenses at Alastor’s question is gratifying, almost as much as the look of utter confusion on his face when he turns back. “What?”

“Is it working? This little demonstration—is it making you feel powerful?”

    --

OR: Instead of just sitting in the cuck chair and glowering, Alastor doms the shit out of Vox.

The silence stretched between them then, thick and awkward. Not because they had nothing to say; because they had too much. Too many questions neither wanted to voice first. Too many unspoken rules from Hell suddenly meaningless here.

Vox finally stood, joints cracking in protest. Annoying. Stupid human body. “Look. All I know is we woke up like this. On Earth. Together. With all our memories and none of our powers. So, congratulations, deer boy, you’re stuck with me.”

Alastor pinched the bridge of his nose, inhaling sharply through his teeth. “Let me get this straight. I have been forcibly deposited into a mortal vessel, next to you, with no warning, no explanation, and no immediate means of escape?”

    “That’s the gist,” Vox said.

    Alastor stared at him.

    Then laughed.

Or Alastor and Vox find themselves trapped in Purgatory with human bodies.

    Summary

A single, sharp thump against his ribs. Hard enough to feel. Hard enough that his breath hitched. He couldn’t stop watching Vox. Vox shining. Vox gloating. Vox destroying the King of Hell in front of thousands. Vox basking in triumph like it was a second skin.

The cameras zoomed in on his grin. The curve of neon light across his face, lit like desire or malice or both. Alastor’s fingers flexed against the restraints. The ropes burned. He liked it. Hated that he liked it. His smile didn’t break, but it faltered, just a flicker, a millisecond, a glitch. He felt heat coil in his gut, something foreign and unwelcome and dangerously alive.

“Damn you,” he whispered, barely audible, his radio voice cracking beneath the words.

    Summary

You fix failing businesses in the Dark World.
That’s your thing — walk in, clean up the chaos, and get out after things finally start to stay afloat.

So when you get an anonymous call begging you to save a dying studio on the edge of implosion, you assume it’s just another mess to mop up.

You weren’t expecting his face on the building.

And you sure as hell weren’t expecting him to still be running it.

Now you’re trapped in a rundown studio full of burnout, flickering neon, and a ghost from your past with too much of an ego and not a bit of self-awareness.

He hasn’t changed. He’s worse. And yet, the more the studio falls apart, the more you’re forced to deal with what neither of you ever got over…

    There’s nothing professional about this.
