Los sueños y los deseos no son lo mismo.
Buggy estaba lleno de deseos incumplidos y sueños que jamás se atrevió a llamar deseos. Durante decadas cargó la insatisfacción de lo que ya no se podía cumplir, hasta que llegó el día de poner un punto final.
Armado de determinación, acabó con sus miedos y liberó al mundo. Sin más fuerzas después y manteniendo ese deseo truncado en su mente mientras moría, pensó en su familia antes de encaminarse al barco de Davy D. Jones para reunirse con ellos.
Una fugaz añoranza se le escapó en el último segundo, dirigida a Salacia —el mismo mar—, como un último lamento antes de partir, pero... Sorpresivamente, parece que se hizo realidad.
Salacia y Davy D. Jones realmente se apiadaron de él y Buggy no sabía cómo agradecerles más. No podía pedir otra cosa más en su vida después de haber regresado con su papá, su maestro y su amado hermano.

They lost. All of them. Despite Luffy's boundless enthusiasm they had lost. Even if Imu was dead, even if the Elders were dead. Too many had died and too much blood drenched the earth and Sea to consider this a victory. And now all that was left was an old man too stubborn to die and the echo of a god parading in his grandson's skin.
Luffy had died, burned from within by his devil fruit powers and what remained was Nika, watching Garp with a heavy gaze.
"I am sending you back," the god decreed. Not asked, not suggested. Merely stated his decision as simply as one would state the sky is blue. No longer laughing, no, Nika had stopped laughing since Luffy had stopped existing. Now he was serious in a way that made Garp understand he had no choice in the matter.
"Back to the beginning. Back to when you could have still changed things."
"Why?"
The man couldn't help but choke out the one word question. Why me, when he was worthless, had done nothing that could convince the god he could actually change things. Why now, why not earlier, when Luffy was alive, when Sabo was alive, when children who had actually made a change would have had the chance to go back.

Garp is a good grandfather (okay, fine, he's a mediocre grandfather) and he likes to visit Ace aboard the Moby Dick. Mainly to bother him about how his boyfriend, Marco, is too old for him. Garp and Whitebeard grow closer and Garp starts visiting more and more often. The smarter of the Whitebeard Pirates (Izou, Haruta, Marco etc. ) realize that Garp and Whitebeard have fallen for each other way before either of them do, and start to try and set them up. I feel like Sabo and Luffy's reactions would be funny, but that's not super important to include. I think Sabo would go "wait, your grandpa is dating your dad?" and Luffy wouldn't even bat an eyelash.

Now, Uta wants to be a pirate again, to sing worldwide, and she wants Buggy to come along. Whatever, that makes it easier for Buggy to find her stupid husband so she could punch him in the face.
