"Who was that girl huh?" Yoshiki hissed at 'Hikaru', eyes fierce despite the tears that gleamed, threatening to fall.
"I— What are you talking about?" 'Hikaru' seemed hesitant, his eyes meeting Yoshiki's in a panic. His heart only seemed to break even further when he saw Yoshiki almost cry.
"Don't. Don't lie to me. You know who."
"The girl from class A? Why.. do you care about her?"
"That's not the point! T-this isn't even your body!" He sneers, voice hoarse — 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦? —
Hikaru tried to pat his shoulder, in an attempt to make Yoshiki more calm so they could talk this out, alas to no avail as Yoshiki slapped his hand away meeting his eyes.

Yoshiki’s breath caught as they reviewed the scene in front of them. He sat on his friend's bed with Hikaru laid out over his lap.
No, not Hikaru. The thing that dressed like Hikaru. Smiled like Hikaru. Laughed like Hikaru. The thing that came down from the mountain that wasn’t Hikaru but wanted to be. That horrible, frightening, terrifying thing that walked around with his best friend's corpse was now splayed out before him, with its pants down. It was whimpering from the pain, pain it shouldn’t feel but somehow understood. Its butt, Hikaru’s butt, was bright red from repeated strikes. It was warm to the touch. Much too warm for a corpse.
Yoshiki’s hand felt too warm. All of him felt too warm.
When this had all started, he would have never guessed he’d end up in this sort of situation. He really shouldn’t be here.
But what other choice did he have? Hikaru needed him. Yoshiki knew that this Hikaru needed him to guide and teach him how to be human. How to be a person. How to be good.
And a quiet voice that Yoshiki had ignored for years told him that he needed this just as badly.

Hikaru blinked, the shock turning into a fake pout. “Stop what? Being nice to you? You’re so mean today, Yoshiki, seriously…” He wiggled, trying to get him off. He brushed against Yoshiki’s chest, sending a jolt down Yoshiki’s spine.
“This!” Yoshiki hissed, his face close to Hikaru’s. He could see the long lashes around his eyes that looked different now – not scared, but realizing something. “The talking, the touching, the… the way you hang all over me. You can’t do that! You can’t act like that and then pretend it’s nothing.”
