It took Darius forever to notice - or to care, maybe both - that the meeting came to an end, he was the last man standing around the Grand General like a confused child. He does this more often than enough, crawling on all fours metaphorically to feel needed.
It took him less than five minutes to follow suit to the general much before he ever had to make a sound, simply by the act of blinking at his direction, Darius was accompanying him like a lap dog.
His lap dog who is clearly, curious enough to click his tongue, almost innocently, expecting the right moment to ask. To beg for an answer while they walk the corridors, the sunset coming and making everything this red, orange, yellowish summer tone.
It matches Swain, the sunset, the fading of his reign during the day.
" If you require my special attention, " Swain pauses, and so does the beating of Darius's heart. " Tell me, I shall make time for you. "

“I know you don’t care for my brother, but…”
Lux sounded uncharacteristically worried, picking at her nails from where she sat outside Sylas’s cell. She’d been visiting him for maybe a month now, giving him books to read and pillows to sleep on whenever she could. Sylas was grateful for the company—it got quite lonely (not that he would admit it) spending so many years locked up and alone. Lux would rarely speak about her family—except for when someone (usually Garen) did something especially stupid.
“But what? Has he created yet another idiotic plan to get you married to a prince?” He tried to joke, closing the book he’d been reading, “Please don’t tell me that he’s trying to marry you off again.”
Lux chuckled, but it did little to ease her anxiety, “No, no, Garen hasn’t done anything like that,” Her shoulders were hunched, fingers knitting together, “He’s gone missing. It’s been days, and the vanguard hasn't found him.”
