  1. Summary

This series is about what survives.

Across planets and centuries, after extinction events and political compromises, after love is regulated and grief is deferred, people keep living anyway. They build families in the cracks of systems that were never meant to hold them. They carry memory in their bodies, in their bonds, in the quiet choices they make every day.

The Weight of Living Things follows Jim Kirk and Spock as they navigate love under constraint, parenthood under scrutiny, and activism born not from heroism but from necessity. It is about found family, hybrid children, inherited trauma, and the slow, stubborn work of care. About what it means to belong to a world that no longer looks like home—and choosing to stay present anyway.

These stories are not about saving the galaxy.
They are about keeping each other safe.
    About holding what remains.
About learning, again and again, that survival is not passive—it is an act.
