Summary
He stopped mid-shout, looking on in horror. There, in a bathtub overflowing with water was the naked body of his younger twin brother. Upside down and submerged, like a log of wood in a lake. Morgan stood there shaking, his hands twitching and his breaths coming out heavy and sharp. He blanked out, could not comprehend what it was he was seeing. Through the daze, he could hear a high-pitched keening noise coming from somewhere but could not for the love of him pinpoint where it was coming from. He was frozen in terror and could not move so he just stood there not knowing what to do. At some point, he understood that that sound was coming from his own mouth. At some point, he felt himself move. At some point, he felt himself break. And yet, as a sharp pain traveled through his body as his knees slammed into the floor next to the bathtub, he felt his consciousness rushing in and his mind running ten times faster in his panic. He had to help Oli, he had to help Oli, he had to help Oli....Oh dear God! His little brother!

Summary
In the chill, February air, Lestat stood with her face pointed towards the sky. She let her eyes fall shut, imagining the white face paint that had turned pink with sweat lining her cheeks. The alcohol had just started to hit her, a teasing, ticklish feeling evoked in his chest. The number of victims was lost on her – five, though that was just the figures she could still picture in her head. She had told Louis she would not be inebriated tonight, that she would not be foolish; though she expected he knew better than to trust her word by now. Who was she if not deceitful, standing by her words as much as Frankenstein by his creature? Oh well, she let her mind wander. Let us see where the night takes us.
