Hercules was to marry Hebe, his half-sister and goddess of youth. Even Hera seemed appeased after so much tormenting the life of the former demigod, but there was one who was not at all happy: Ares. To the god of war, the ancient demigod was a murderer; the murderer of his children, and of his own blood, whether intentionally or not. If his parents and sisters, especially Hebe, expected him to accept that murderer so easily, they were in for a great disappointment.

He wanted to resolve this on his own, which was by doing nothing and staying away from his family. Unfortunately, his parents always showed up at the worst times, exactly when he didn't want them.
