Summary
This…can’t be right. If he were to sacrifice himself, it would save the world from ending, but by leaving he would hurt those closest to him. He was the Monkey Kid, a hero among the city, anyone would expect him to do it in a heartbeat. This was different, he had to sacrifice himself to save his friends but leaving would only make it worse for them.
Macaque’s voice echoed in his mind, “Life isn’t some pre-written game where you have to do what the tutorial says.” He grips his staff as another wave of pain rushes through his body, his eyes start to flicker in gold. “We have to make our own path.” Macaque’s words echo in his head once more.
There Xiangliu stood in front of him with an empathetic smile. Disgusting. It made him physically gagged. The Xiangliu Headed Demon stood there acting like they understood. A scowl was spread across his face and another flickering rip of rain shot through his chest making him flinch.
