Kenma thought back to last Saturday night at the bar; how Kuroo had eagerly folded to his every suggestion. There was something there that Kenma had yet to fully dissect. He tilted Kuroo’s head down with a thumb on his chin, and found confirmation in the way Kuroo’s eyes went hazy.
“You listened so well last time,” Kenma said. “Can you do it again?”

Summary
In theory, Kuroo was ethically opposed to conning innocents. In practice, he could never resist watching Kozume ply his trade.
It always started out the same: Kozume’s victim of the night would let him break. Kozume would hesitantly line up his cue behind the cue ball, elbows tucked, form all over the place. So of course, to be a good sport, his opponent would give him some pointers—shift Kozume’s upper arm, adjust his wrists, let their fingers brush for a moment too long. Despite the language barrier, a definite something lingered in the air.
(The scent of blood. Kuroo knew that, Kozume knew that, Victim #1 did not.)
Kuroo’s job is to pour drinks and watch out for hustlers. He’s a great employee: he makes a mean martini, and whenever Kozume Kenma comes in to hustle pool, Kuroo sure does watch.

Summary
"Kenma," Kuroo's voice sounds soft behind him, and Kenma goes rigid. "You're not trying to get rid of me, are you?" Kuroo bends to whisper in Kenma's ear and presses against him. "You haven't even tried the treat I brought you. Apple roses."
A basket is placed on the counter beside Kenma and a mouthwatering scent invades his nose. Apple and cinnamon and brown sugar all tantalize his senses. Kuroo is playing on his weak point.
"Don't you want your potion so you can go?"
"Not particularly."
"Well maybe I want you to leave."
"Why? Too busy gaming? Maybe we can play together?"
A hand slides along his waist and Kenma chokes.
