After a long silence, Will spoke. “What are you reading?”
Mike hesitated, then tilted the book cover toward him. Hoping he wouldn’t ask too many questions, or ask him to read it too. With the big red dragon on the cover, he felt safe.
Will blinked, eyes widening slightly. “Oh.”
“What?”
“I… didn’t think it was your kind of book,” he admitted softly, voice low, shy.
“Fantasy books?” Mike asked, playing dumb.
Will hesitated, chewing the inside of his cheek, fingers twisting nervously in his lap. “Mike… do you know what you’re reading?”
Mike shook his head, pretending ignorance, though his fingers gripping the pillow gave him away.
“It’s… gay smut. From beginning to end,” Will said quietly, avoiding Mike’s eyes.
Mike’s ears went red. “You’ve read it?”
“Yeah,” Will admitted, shrugging, glancing down.
“Why?” Mike asked, clutching the pillow tighter.
Will shrugged again, probably not expecting the question. “It’s… good.”
_____Mike and Will were childhood best friends who drifted apart. Years later, they meet again in a mental health center and reconnect in unexpected ways.

Regulus Black knew a lot of things. He knew seven ways to brew a Draught of Peace and which one Slughorn preferred on a Tuesday. He knew which floorboards in Grimmauld Place creaked and how to avoid them at 2am. He knew that Dorcas carried dittany in her left pocket and a bezoar in her right, always. He knew Ancient Runes better than most NEWT students, because his tutor didn't believe in "childhood."
What Regulus didn't understand was why, of all people, he had to develop a crush on his brother's best friend.

Summary
Regulus Black managed to become an Animagus at the end of his third year at Hogwarts, after months and months of research, seeking a way to escape his family obligations when needed and to walk wherever he wanted without being bothered.
A futile reason, he knows, but what matters is that he succeeded.
However, on a calm day during his fifth year, strolling through Hogwarts in his black cat form to clear his head after a tiring conversation with his mother by the flames of his dormitory, he encounters a group of Gryffindor boys, a hateful and irritating group: the Marauders.
And of course, it wouldn't be so bad to just pass by them and go on with his life, if it weren't for the fact that James Potter decided to take him (as a cat) and simply adopt him???
Although the Gryffindor dormitories are so much warmer...
