Summary
The hall suddenly quiets down at the sound of several footsteps coming closer at a steady pace. Lan Wangji watches the entrance, and tries to ignore the tremble of his heart when his eyes see Wei Ying walking into the hall. Whatever excitement he feels, however, is quickly squashed as he takes in the expression of absolute fury on his beloved’s face. Wei Ying is carrying a quiet, but obviously upset, a-Yuan on his hip, and Wen Ning is following closely behind. A few steps behind, Jin Zixuan is grim-faced and pushing a furious Jin Zixun in front of him. Lan Wangji is sure his minor headache will turn major before whatever spectacle is about to happen is over.
Or, how bringing a-Yuan to Jin Ling's one month celebration leads to things getting revealed, and a whole bunch of lives being saved. (And Wei Ying gets the time to realize going to Gusu might be good, actually)

Lan Wangji is staring at him with shockingly alert eyes.
“Ah. Burger Man,” he says stoically. Wei Wuxian has a really hard time telling if the man is serious or fucking with him. But given that he has never seen the man being anything other than serious, he assumes that he’s probably drunk.
“Yeah, I’m the Burger Man. And you’re Lan Wangji. Do you normally spend your Friday nights sitting on the street like this?” he asks.
Lan Wangji looks around, as if he had not been aware they were on a street in the middle of the city. Had he blacked out? How much had he drunk? Was he on any drugs? There was no real way for Wei Wuxian to know.
“Do not,” Lan Wangji finally responds, frowning at the pavement like it’s its fault that he’s sitting on it.
Or, Wei Wuxian is slightly obsessed with the Hot Customer at work. After running into him on a night out, and consequently figuring out he has a kid, he somehow talks himself into getting to babysit said kid. So what if he starts crushing on this man who is obviously taken? Wei Wuxian has everything under control.

“He’s - more than just a friend, isn’t he? A-Yuan?” Wei Ying spoke softly, but it was hard to suppress a tiny shudder of glee.
Sizhui glanced at him then spoke into his tea. “Dad. I just knew you were going to be all -.” He flapped a hand at him vaguely. “Like - this -. About it.”
Wei Ying felt affronted. He pulled his posture up a little. “Like what?” He asked, as gently as he could under the circumstances.
“Urgh. Excited.”
Wei Ying made himself look relaxed. “I am not. I am not excited.”
“You are. Stop it.”
Fifteen year follow-up to ‘you deserve to be loved’ in which Lan Yuan brings someone home for the first time and Wei Ying has an emotional meltdown that lasts three chapters. Not a standalone.
Unapologetic, plotless sex n fluff. I promised myself I would never do anything this self indulgent and then I just did anyway because I have zero shame.

“Yes. Well. Do tell us a little about yourself.”
OK. “Umm, I’m twenty-five. I’m staying over the hill in Camberwell. I went to art school.” Wei Ying tried to think of what else to say. It was a bit like dating. “I’m a bit of a hot mess actually, I’m sleeping on my brother’s sofa because I don’t have anywhere to live, and I haven’t had a meaningful relationship in like, forever.” He leaned forward and said behind his hand “I’m bi so it really shouldn’t be this difficult -.” He looked up to see they were both staring at him. That was good, he was keeping them engaged. “I love kids. They love me. Where’s yours, by the way?”
Lan Xichen turned to Nie Mingjue, but Nie Mingjue just stared back, apparently fascinated by Wei Ying. Lan Xichen turned back to look at Wei Ying again.
“We -. I wonder if -. Perhaps you can tell us a little about your - experience?” He smiled. “With - children.” He added.
“You can see from my CV I don’t really have any.” Wei Ying gave them a huge smile.
