Summary
Diluc always knew where to find his little brother, no matter where the other hid.
Countless days of their childhood were spent like that, playing hide and seek at the winery. Despite the repetitive outcome, neither of them seemed to tire of the game, always ready to play another round. Kaeya could get frustrated sure, but it never lasted long.
‘It’s not fair how you always find me right away.’ he would pout, crossing his arms as he glared at the other.
‘It’s because you’re my brother.’ Diluc would then say, grinning triumphantly before ruffling his hair in an affectionate manner. ‘I’m always going to find you, whether you want to be found or not.’

Or: Kaeya does (not) want to be found. Diluc always finds him anyway.

“He’s going to be alright. We’ll make sure of that, you hear me, Master Diluc? Don’t worry.”
And Diluc doesn’t. He doesn’t worry. Or at least that’s what he tells himself. His heart is beating fast merely due to the gruesome sights. His breath is only picking up pace because the air is so stuffy in here and the crowd – the chaos – too big.
The thing is, he isn’t allowed to worry. Even if he wanted to. Not when the deep wound crying blood is so eerily similar to the thick red tears flowing out of the eye socket ruined by Diluc’s hands, by Diluc’s claymore, that fateful night years and years ago.
This is his fault. It is. It’s child’s play to deduce the enemy could get in a lucky hit only with help of Kaeya’s considerable blind spot. A blind spot that Diluc caused.

Summary
Getting caught up in the middle of one of Albedo's failed experiments was definitely not on Kaeya's Windblume to-do list. And yet here he is. Caught in the crossfire of one of Albedo's failed experiments. Go figure.
Alternatively: Kaeya is isekai'd into an alternate timeline where he has been dead for five years. Alternate timeline Diluc is...distraught, to say the very least.
