“I’m sure every carpenter in the city is going to be busy these next few days. Even with all my connections, I might not be able to get someone sooner, especially since repairs for the Akademiya will take priority. It might be a while until we can fix the roof.”
“That’s fine. I’ll just take your bed in the meantime.” Alhaitham flops onto the bed.
Kaveh’s eye twitches as he grits his teeth. “Well, I was going to offer you my bed but—
“Great, glad we are in agreement.”
“Wait! What about me?! Where am I supposed to sleep?!”
Alhaitham pats the empty side of the bed. “Plenty of room for the two of us to share.”
After the events that lead to the burning of Irminsul, Alhaitham and Kaveh are left to clean up the mess left behind. Their roof is torn, several of their belongings have been knocked over, and worst of all, Alhaitham’s room is currently under unlivable conditions, forcing them to share Kaveh’s room for the time being: including the bed.
It’s not just the house that needs some fixing however.

Kaveh couldn't remember the exact moment he fell in love with Alhaitham, but it must have been between the times he drove the omega to the brink of madness and when he caught his junior looking back at him with turquoise eyes that sparkled with false innocence while calling him "senior."

Summary
Kaveh is the head architect at a major firm, but when his wrists start cracking nonstop as he’s sketching out his designs in the office, his boss forces him to see a physical therapist. He reluctantly sets up an appointment with a doctor at a small clinic who, much to Kaveh’s chagrin, ends up being far more than he bargained for in every way possible.
“No designs, no sketching,” Alhaitham muttered exasperatedly. “Is my instruction that difficult to follow?”
Kaveh shot him a petulant glare. “Sorry, doctor - let me just call up the kids I'm building the orphanage for and tell them to get fucked because I'm too concerned about my limp ass wrists.”
Instead of getting annoyed at Kaveh's snappy tone, Alhaitham responded in equal measure, matching his snark with aggravating ease. “Sounds reasonable to me.”

Summary
Kaveh is growing increasingly tired of random omegas trying to scent his husband. Alhaitham, for his part, is simply too obliviously downbad to even notice it happening.
“Who was in here today?” Kaveh asked, lips pursed.
“Just some researchers from Vahumana trying to get me on board with their shitty proposal. Why? Is everything okay?” Alhaitham replied cautiously, gaze following Kaveh as he stomped through the office, nose twitching agitatedly.
When Kaveh didn’t respond, Alhaitham rose to his feet and released some of his own pheromones in an attempt to soothe him. The instant Kaveh breathed them in, his shoulders dropped - then, as though magnetized, he drifted sideways toward Alhaitham and folded against his chest with a soft grunt.
At first, Kaveh nuzzled against him gently - but after a few moments, the motion grew more insistent, rubbing his nose ferociously against his chest as though he was itchy and the most appropriate scratcher was Alhaitham’s shirt.

Summary
Several months ago, after completing his now-famous Palace of Alcazarzaray, the genius behind the work, Kaveh, completely vanished from the public eye. Speculations on his whereabouts swirled around for a bit, but eventually, everyone moved on to fresher gossip.
Everyone, that is, except for Alhaitham.
After uncovering several truths, his curiosity regarding his estranged friend's disappearance turned into an investigation that led him out into the vast desert of Sumeru. He thought he was searching for answers. He thought he was conducting a rescue mission. What he hadn't thought was that he'd be making a bid to win back a treasure he'd lost long ago.

Alhaitham lounges amid a sea of jewel toned fabrics, and he sparkles among them with the translucent brilliance of a diamond himself. Kaveh can see his mind at work within the pages, can watch his eyes light up or see the scrunch of his brow, and it is the only thing about Alhaitham he cannot seem to pin down to the sketch.
Kaveh wants to capture his lover in a portrait.

Summary
With the looming threat of the end of the world upon them, Alhaitham finds himself sharing a moment of peace with Kaveh under the stars. While Alhaitham knows he’s done all he can to save everyone, there is no guarantee that the plan will work. After all, if it fails, he may never get the chance to live the life he has always wanted to have with Kaveh.
Or alternatively, a fic that acts as an extended version of the rooftop scene in the 6.6 Archon Quest.

Kaveh eyed the bartender in front of him through half-lidded eyes.
He was a real looker, that was for sure, all sharp angles and muscle and suave, elegant motions. In Kaveh’s drunk, muddled mind, he wondered how he’d look underneath Kaveh, silver hair splayed across the pillow like a halo around his handsome face. Or maybe he’d be over Kaveh, put all those muscles to use, hands firm around Kaveh’s waist instead of a shaker.
Then the man opened his mouth and the fantasy was gone. “It’s rude to stare,” he said.Kaveh gets the hots for his local bartender who also happens to be a vampire. As often is the case, Kaveh is blissfully unaware of many, many things.

Summary
Trapped by a brutal sandstorm, Kaveh is accidentally forced into exploring the lewd architecture of one of King Deshret's old temples deep under the dunes. Inside, there is a strange device containing a shred of the old God King's mind; unique knowledge that King Deshret had to seal away from even himself to prevent far too much indulgence in the carnal enlightenment.
Kaveh realizes this is a find that many scholars would kill for.
Except there's a few issues:
This part of the God King's mind is far too lascivious to not impart every bit of his sensual knowledge into Kaveh's skin.
And King Deshret looks exactly like Alhaitham.

Summary
And then he saw it. Perhaps a coincidence, perhaps intuition. From the corner of his eyes, Kaveh saw that Eremite from earlier took out a small vial from his pocket, and dropped a clear, thick syrup-like liquid into the girl’s drink when she was distracted.
Kaveh’s eyes widened, alarm bells ringing in his head. It was no more than three drops, the clear liquid quickly dissolved into the beverage and disappeared, like it wasn’t even there. The girl didn’t notice anything, still laughing softly at the man’s bad joke, completely oblivious of what just happened.
But there was no way Kaveh was going to let this man drug an innocent girl. Not on his watch.
(In which Kaveh not-so-accidentally drank an aphrodisiac-induced drink and Alhaitham… helped him through it. )

Summary
Kaveh’s tattoos are praised by celebrities and magazines alike, but somewhere along the path to his success, the meaning bled out of his art. Then, after ten long years, Alhaitham rides back into his life on a motorcycle - rugged, quick-witted, and infuriatingly unforgettable.
With love laced into the ink Kaveh had long since stopped believing in, something beautiful finally begins to take shape once more.
There, standing beneath the stupid Books sign and holding his helmet in one hand... was Alhaitham. He was older and broader - somehow impossibly more attractive - but it was undeniably him.
Kaveh staggered to a halt in the middle of the street and tried to recall how to breathe as he devoured the sight of the same handsome bone structure he had spent years trying to either find or forget - only now more chiseled, more ruggedly defined... more ruinous.
Alhaitham’s eyes, at least, hadn’t changed at all. With a breath that caught audibly in his throat, Kaveh lost himself in the piercing, hypnotic teal irises that he hadn’t seen since their gazes last locked across a study table in the high school library.

With a heavy sigh, Kaveh buried his face in his pillow. All of his romantic ideals, as usual, were quashed by the one man he actually yearned for such affections from - a marriage for the sake of fucking tax deductions.
Though it made sense in a cold, rational way, such a logical and disinterested proposal for Kaveh to willingly sacrifice his heart for nothing more than mora cut deep into his chest. And worst of all... Alhaitham was unaware that Kaveh’s heart could never even belong to anyone but him - that he was already the sole benefactor of Kaveh’s silent longing, having stolen Kaveh’s heart against his will long ago.
Kaveh curled around his pillow as if the soft cotton of his pillowcase could offer a reprieve from the turmoil churning deep in his stomach. He’d long since made peace with his unrequited love for Alhaitham, resigning himself to a lifetime of suppressed yearning - but this? This was torture, plain and simple, demanding mental gymnastics that Kaveh wasn’t confident he was flexible enough to contort himself into.

He isn’t going to let the opportunity he’s manufactured go to waste.
