Eijun wants to drop hints that he likes Miyuki before confessing. Miyuki is blissfully unaware.
First, he must drop hints. Miyuki is pretty observant, so that shouldn’t be hard, right? Then, he must feel out Miyuki’s reactions to all of this. If Miyuki seems receptive, then he’ll go in with the final step: the actual confession. And then, Miyuki will be Eijun’s boyfriend and catch for him whenever he asks because that’s what a good boyfriend does!
It’s a foolproof plan, really.

Summary
It was unexpected when Miyuki had gotten hurt during their match with Seiko. The catcher kept playing like nobody’s business and unsurprisingly, Miyuki had been on strict orders to rest for their next game, limited to play with just 60% of his abilities in their next match at Koshein in five days.
But what really caught everyone off guard was Sawamura. He'd come up with a plan—one that was surprisingly clever, even by their coach’s standards. Of course, it also meant piling a mountain of pressure onto himself and declaring a war against his own stamina. Not that he minded. If Miyuki couldn’t carry the team this time, then Eijun would. That’s what a battery does, right?
If only things hadn’t taken an unexpected turn in the middle of the game—one that put Sawamura right in the center of it all.

Endo took a seat from a nearby table, pulling it up and scooting as close to Sakura as he could, "Takiishi knows of my interest in you," A sleezy smile grew on his face, and the blush on his cheeks was far less endearing than Sakura's, "Besides, I have two hands, don't I?"
Sakura barely batted an eye at Endo's suggestive tone, evidence of his growth in the romance area, but Suo noted the redness in the tips of his ears. Despite the disgust he feels being so near Endo, he couldn't help but think that Sakura's blushing was one of the most endearing sights he's ever seen.
"I don't care how many hands you have," Sakura sneered, leaning slightly, pressing his arm against Suo's, glare still stuck on Endo, "I'm not interested. I'm also not single," Suo felt his pulse jump, and it was only years and years and years of training that helped him school his expression. The others, however, weren't as capable, showing various surprised expressions. Sakura continued, not noticing any of it, "Suo and I are dating."

Summary
When Chopper joins them after Drum Island, things don’t change much at first. Sure, it’s nice to have an actual doctor on board. It’s nice that he doesn’t have to rely on Sanji, or go to Nami for a patch-up. Things are the same for a few days after because they’re all still thinking about getting Vivi back home, because Sanji and Nami are still a little shaky and recovering. But after a while, he becomes aware of one crucial detail he’d overlooked so far: Chopper is still a kid.
or: Zoro and Sanji go through the motions of pseudo-parenthood and end up better for it

“Is that land?” Usopp blurts out.
“Can’t be,” Nami corrects, “There aren’t any islands anywhere near here.”
The fog gives way enough for bright red lettering to be legible behind a fuzzy haze of fog, and Usopp squints as he reads it aloud, “what’s a… Ba-rah-tieh?”
The rest of the familiar vessel appears as they sail closer. The silhouette of her dark wooden hull coming into shape, the yellow glow of her windows cutting through the fog and her lighthouse illuminating the surrounding waves.
Zoro’s heart clenches in his chest. The stark contrast between longing to arrive and suddenly being deposited on the Baratie’s deck without warning is jarring. A viscous mix of excitement and horror turns in his chest and lodges in his throat like tar.
How long had he been away this time?
