Summary
Raised by his hero and older brother, the famous firefighter Iida Tensei, Iida Tenya has always had a bright beacon in his life inspiring him and drawing him forward. However, when Tensei is grievously injured in a fire set by a serial arsonist, his life is turned completely upside down. Suddenly his brother’s caretaker, Tenya must learn to cope with a slew of new responsibilities and find a new place to lean on in his time of hardship. Being unable to rely on his brother for emotional support, he must find other ways to cope with the drastic changes in his life -- something which Midoriya Izuku is all too happy to help with. Meanwhile, the fires in the city keep burning, reminding him every day of the pain his brother is suffering -- and his own desire for revenge.

Grief has never been something Ochako has worn well. Anger on the other hand...
OR:
Tensei survives a surgery performed by surgeons who Ochako knows she couldn't pay enough to kiss the ground they walk on, and Iida never says a word about payment. Tensei gets to work with occupational therapists and nurses and gets a shiny new wheelchair that Iida pushes him around in, and never once has she seen Iida fret about the cost such a thing must wrack up.
Tensei thrives, and Kenji bleeds out on an ambulance ride her family will spend the rest of their lives paying off.And before Iida can get out so much as another word, Ochako drives her fist into his face.

Tenya doesn’t tell his friends about the garden.
He thinks about it once, when he’s curled up against them all on Midoriya’s ungodly All Might themed rug, pretending not to watch Tsu tangle one large hand with Todoroki’s and promise things she had no ability or right to make. He wants to say, I understand, softly as he possibly can, and press his shoulders against Todoroki’s, and feel Midoriya’s love and Tsu’s assurance and Uraraka’s anger fill the space. He wants to but he doesn’t, because it isn’t the same. Tensei isn’t Tenya’s father. Tensei only used the pliers once. Tensei loves Tenya, the main factor missing from Todoroki’s tales, and was only doing it to protect him from what his friend faced.
And seemingly most important in this scenario, Tenya loves Tensei back. He took his brother’s costume, his name, his mannerisms. He took it all because he still -even after everything- adores Tensei. He thinks that Todoroki can’t hold anything for Endeavor but fear.

He can’t feel his legs.
He tries to wiggle his toes, but the command becomes lost in translation. He tries to move his arms, but never have the engines in his forearms seemed to weigh as much as they do now.
He hears voices, doctors are close by, talking about how something is going to affect his career.
Or lack thereof.
In which Iida Tensei struggles with his new found situation and dealing with his reckless little brother. But at least he has a friend in all of this. .

Summary
Tenya doesn't understand. Rules are important. After all, there’s meant to be a balance to things. The Earth is ninety-three million miles from the Sun, and that makes it safe and happy. Too close, and it would boil. Too far, and it would freeze.
Even if nobody else understands, Tenya knows that rules exist to keep people safe.
Iida Tenya sees things differently from the rest of the world, but he knows it's because he sees things for what they really are.
