Summary
The rules of Baelor and Aerion’s open relationship are simple: be honest, be safe, don’t bring anyone home without talking about it first.
The rules did not cover the possibility that Baelor, director of the Targaryen Natural History Museum and dragon paleontologist, and Aerion, head curator of the Targaryen Art Museum, would both independently start dating the same six-foot-five art handler from Flea Bottom who works at both of their museums and doesn’t know they live together.
The rules definitely did not cover what happens when a man with too-big hands and no last name worth mentioning sees something in both of them that they stopped seeing in each other.
This might not have been what their therapist had in mind.

“I need you to be honest,” Finn said. “When you said that one-night stand comment… did you mean it?”
Peter nodded slowly. “Yes. I meant it.”
Finn felt like he was going to be sick in the best way. “You want to have a one-night stand with me?”
Peter was quiet for a moment. Then, he said: “Yes, and I know this is complicated. I don't want to—I don't want to make things weird. So, if all you want is one night, then I can do that.”
If all you want is one night. But what if Finn didn’t just want one night? What if he wanted all of the nights after this one too?
But Peter was right, it was complicated. They were co-stars on a very popular show. If this went wrong, it would make everything awkward. And there was another fear: Peter might be straight.
“Alright,” Finn said, forcing himself to smile. “One night.”
