Summary
Lestat moves slightly, taking Louis with him up a step and closer to the bedroom, and he feels Louis chuckle in his ear.
“I always feel weightless in your arms,” Louis sighs, throwing his head back to give Lestat access to his neck again. “I'm tethered to earth by gravity, except when I'm with you. You're so strong.”
His hand splays wide between Lestat’s shoulder blades, feeling nothing but rock-hard muscle, and Lestat almost reflexively jerks away, like always, lest he scare Louis with his inhuman skin.
“I won't hurt you.”
Lestat’s voice is so soft and so serious that it makes Louis pause beneath him. He's looking up at Lestat now, more tears shining in those brown eyes, and Lestat looks away in shame at the understanding that he sees blossoming in Louis’ face.
“Is that what frightens you? All the challenges? All the displays of this unnatural power? You've been daring me to back away for my own good?”
Lestat can't answer.
Louis returns to Lestat for more "little drinks" and Lestat grapples with his nature to protect Louis' fragile mortality.

Summary
Within the week Lestat—the Lestat, a small part of Daniel can’t help but help but crow—is sitting in Daniel’s apartment, casting his unimpressed gaze over the clutter of Daniel’s human life.
Daniel decides to seize the bull by the horns. “So, where do you want to start? Top ten grievances about the book?”
With his eyes, Lestat manages to convey that a top one hundred would be insufficient to capture the magnitude of Daniel’s literary sins, but with his mouth he says, “I am not here to pick over what has already been said. If that is how Louis sees things, that is how he sees them.”
Or: The vampire Lestat tells his life story to newly immortal journalist Daniel Molloy, who has a lot of inconvenient, probing questions about it.

Summary
"I didn't know," he murmured, hand coming up to the old-fashioned tie at the neck of my linen shirt and pulling it loose, "that it could be like this."
I swallowed hard, and tilted my head away from him, baring my neck. I could feel the pulse of my preternatural heart through my veins, each beat sounding the word: yes, yes, yes.

Set during Merrick in Chapter 24, after Louis is brought back to life. This is Lestat's narrative of the blood sharing scene that we/David don't get to see.

Summary
After eighteen passionate but tumultuous years together, Louis and Lestat seem to finally be on an even keel: married, successful in their careers, raising a wonderful daughter. So why is Lestat falling apart now? And how can Louis help him when Lestat won’t even admit that anything is wrong?
A shamelessly hurt/comfort, plot-lite, straight to the catharsis human AU, lightly canon flavoured.

Summary
A brief prequel to ‘A monstrous intimacy’. Human AU Louis and Lestat have recently adopted Claudia, and it isn’t going smoothly.
Or:
“We have talked a little about your own family, growing up,” their therapist says. “I would like to explore-”
“This is meant to be practical,” Lestat interrupts. “To learn parenting techniques, not how to blame everything on our mothers.”
