The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

They’re with their family—their friends—for another journey, one without the King’s Curse nipping at their heels, and everyone will be together for the foreseeable future. So Siffrin is fine. Great, even! The others don’t need to know that their experience in Dormont still hangs heavy as a noose around their neck.
They just need to get over it.

With a new journal, and a new mysterious author, Dipper, Mabel, and Frisk will find themselves in a Gravity Falls that is weirder than ever. And nobody's safe. Not anymore. (Meant to be considered my silly contribution to a "Season 3" to Gravity Falls) (WARNING: This fic does not put into account much of anything that was released after the end of the Gravity Falls cartoon series. I apologize heavily for breaking any canon from the books that followed! I suppose you could say this fic is both post-canon and alternative canon)
