Summary
Those nights he had spent wide awake for these last three years made him think he did need something, though. He was tired, he was exhausted, so he should have been able to sleep. But he wasn’t. Every time his eyes closed, every time his conscience finally started to fade out, he was waken up with the worst of sounds he had ever heard.
It was a light whisper, a warm voice. Soft, lovely and caring. It seemed to come from a man who was kind, and genuine. And it always said the same thing:“Do you miss me?”
Light didn’t fucking miss him. Light had no reason to miss him. There was literally no way Light could ever miss L. He was glad L was killed, he smiled when the man had died in his arms, when he had let out his last breath.
There was no way Light could ever miss L, there just wasn’t.--------

Nakamura groaned, remembering the person— The man he had all of those wet dreams about. The smug smirk he always seemed to carry on his stupidly handsome face, his elongated eyes with small pupils, his thick eyebrows that were usually partly covered by his silky black hair, his sharp nose and his small mouth that somehow seemed to just make his face even more awfully attractive than it already was. Nakamura cursed at himself.
What on earth had possessed him to catch feelings for his teacher?!

And that demonstrated just about everything that was wrong with him.
The fact that he couldn't even imagine a version of himself that was better than this. The fact that he couldn’t even imagine a world where he wasn’t so hopelessly in love with a guy. The fact that he knew. That he knew that in every single universe, he was still gonna be like this without change. He was still gonna be just so weird. And just so deeply broken, there would never be a way to fix him. No matter the universe. No matter the timeline. He was done for.
He noticed a tall figure walk up to him. He didn’t look at it.
“What are you doing here at this hour?” He heard a familiar, deep voice say. He looked up quickly after recognizing it. He was still on all fours and on the ground as he saw him.
It was Otogiri-sensei. And he was lending him a hand, slightly leaning over to make it easier to reach for the boy.

Summary
He snapped himself out of that line of thought. He knew he was jealous of Otogiri-sensei, and that all of this was just his imagination going wild. He knew that Otogiri-sensei didn’t have any terrible secret to hide, and he knew this gut feeling he had was just him being petty. He sighed, stared around at his surroundings, and located the door of the teachers' lounge. It was slightly opened. Nakamura walked up to it, and peeked inside to check if Otogiri-sensei was there.
He was. His hands were on his face, and he seemed distressed. He seemed to be shaking and he was making some weird noises. Nakamura tried paying more attention to the sounds, to see if he had gotten there at a bad time. It sounded like…
Like sobbing?
Otogiri-sensei was crying?

When Otogiri noticed who he was describing, he sighed. He was thinking about that boy again. He was thinking about his student again. He was fantasising about a relationship with Nakamura again. He had tried stopping, he had tried so many things to stop it, but he was doing it again. It was wrong, and very gross, but he just couldn't stop. Because he was broken. Because he was already so broken, even if he tried to fix himself as well as he could.
