    Romance.
    Romance is the hot new thing on the book market, Autumn Publishing’s research team discovers... so Ronald is promptly informed by Fukuma-san that he should consider integrating a romantic plotline into Ronasen, or else.
    Given very little choice in the matter, but also very much lacking any kind of romantic partner in his life, Ronald scrambles to simply make up a love interest from scratch.
    In the end, he settles on narrating his whirlwind romance with a slender, sly, and rather weak vampiress, who comes to live in his flat after he attempted to hunt her down for kidnapping and accidentally burnt down her castle in the process.

    Of course, that makes this new volume of Ronasen a work of fiction, in its entirety. Any similarity that ‘Lady Carmil’ and her pet, Jane the Pangolin, might have to actual persons and familiars, living or undead, is purely coincidental…

    ...right?
