Summary
It's Weiss' responsibility to protect the grimm eggs team RWBY found before the researchers can arrive to study the strange phenomenon. She may have gotten stung by one of the strange, mutated, wasp grimm, but luckily there were no lingering side effects. Really, it was her team who were being weird; they said she was overreacting, but how could none of them realize how important it was to keep those eggs safe?
...how could she convince them?

Summary
Ruby Rose has wanted to be a Huntress since childhood, so watching her sister get accepted into Beacon filled her with pride but also a sense of longing. Sure, she is too young, but she believes she has the skills to excel as a Huntress.
Thanks to a fateful encounter, her dream can now become a reality. After arriving at Beacon, she realizes that this dream of hers wasn't what she expected. As she navigates through the harsh training environment at Beacon, learning about the corruption within the Hunters, her body starts to change. The disease in her blood is waking up, preparing to consume her all while she remains unaware.
While Ruby undergoes her trials there is an air of tension in Remnant, as coincidences start to form patterns, bringing the world closer to the edge of a power struggle unmatched by any in over 80 years.
This fic has tons of symbolism and allegory, alongside heavy character development and nuance. While there are ships, they are not the focus.
There are around 10k words per chapter, but each chapter has sections to make it easier to read. I also go back and edit a lot.
