Summary
This is completely self indulgent as I love role reversal fics and I was rewatching season 2 while waiting for this week’s episode and had a spark of inspiration for writing this.

“ Megumi’s roughed up sneakers pause in front of him. He’s quiet for a long moment, “Yuji,” his head rolled to his shoulder, “Do you have any last words?”A small chuckle escaped as Megumi couched to meet his gaze. Blood coated his face and Megumi watched as a ruby droplet fell onto his scarf, darkening the ruined blue fabric before bleeding into the stark white beneath it.
“Fushiguro, it’s okay,” he smiled, “I hope you live a long life.” Brown eyes smiled up at him, “Don’t cry Megumi! It’s okay. Just make it quick alright?” Megumi nodded, and spoke his last words before finishing his job.”

"Help me move him to the clearing up ahead," Kakashi said quietly. He knelt down, his hands trembling slightly as he reached out to lift his former master. The moment his hands touched Minato’s shoulders, the reality of it hit him. The skin was warm. There was a heartbeat.
He's real. They're both real.

There’s nothing wrong with his eyes, but something made both Sharingan and Rinnegan get sealed away, taking away Sasuke’s vision and memories in the process.
As Naruto, Sasuke and Taka delve deeper into the mystery, they find something worrying—someone caused Sasuke’s trauma to trigger. Someone who doesn’t like him and his lineage.
And when Naruto decides to leave Konoha to live a free life, he can only imagine doing it with Sasuke at his side.
